Let's Get Acquainted

This website and blog came about out of my frustration. I am tired and heart-broken by the way that I see woman being portrayed and most importantly the relationships or lack thereof that we have with each other. For women, the images all over social media and TV are more about tearing each other down rather than lifting each other up. They are more about portraying that to be successful, you had to have “IT” all together (whatever “it” is), when we all struggle. We all have a sense of not feeling like we are enough. We all are trying our best day after day to be wives, mothers, friends, daughters, sisters, care givers (well, you get the point).

I have been a wife for 23 years, a mother for 19, a first lady of a church and a corporate executive for over 10 years. Believe me, I have seen a lot. I want to not just share my journey, but the journey of every woman who is willing to step out and be vulnerable.

Like me, this blog is not perfect. There will be typos, misspellings, and well, grammar that is not correct. What I can promise is as a guest here, you will part of a fantastic community all on a journey of becoming our authentic selves. Here you will get encouragement, knowledge, and empathy from others along the way. Be sure to interact in the comments and share your own experiences.
